Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis

Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis is a Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium of the Corynebacteriaceae family. The pathogen causes caseous lymphadenitis in animals, particularly goats and sheep. Humans may develop lymphadenitis after heavy exposure to the pathogen.

Transmission mainly occurs via infected animals.
