Hepatitis B virus– HBV
(enveloped virus)

Human hepatitis B virus is an enveloped virus having an icosahedral capsid (spherical shape) and a genome composed of partially double-stranded DNA. It belongs to the family of Hepadnaviruses. Hepatitis B viruses may trigger acute or chronic hepatitis. In both cases, the liver is damaged severely.

The main transmission path is via blood and tissue respectively.
