Vibrio cholerae

Vibrio cholerae is a facultative anaerobic, Gram-negative, comma-shaped bacterium in the Vibrionaceae family. It triggers cholera (highly infectious acute diarrhoeal disease).

Transmission mainly occurs via contaminated water and food respectively.
